Guitarist/vocalist Tom Herr says listeners constantly tell him Drenched sounds like a cross between R.E.M., Oasis, and Nirvana - and that's the description the band's going with at this time. After all, it's so hard to gel into a solid sound, when they've only been together for six months.
Herr originally toured throughout Lancaster County as a solo act, then teamed up with bassist Jana Leigh and drummer Dave "javue" Armstrong as Drenched. Herr says Leigh and he exchange turns on lead vocals, usually trading off per set. Covers include Sixpence None the Richer, Foo Fighters, Oasis, and Nirvana. Their live gigs are "entertaining," according to Herr, and take place at mostly small non-liquor license establishments in Lancaster County.
Although there isn't a Drenched CD as of yet, Herr says he continues to devote time towards songwriting for a future project. Influences include an interesting combo of classic kings Led Zeppelin and grunge rockers Nirvana.
Herr says Drenched goals are to "continue to practice and continue to write music and grow in our friendship, grow as an example to young people."
